Update #1

Well, here we are almost a week later. I'm back in Narita, Japan and I just completed my 3rd workout of the Couch to 5K (from here out called C25K) plan. I have to say, they felt really easy. The first 3 workouts are a 5 min brisk warm up walk then 20mins of alternating between 60 seconds of running and 90 seconds of walking. I breezed through them. I did 2 work outs here in Narita on a treadmill and one back in Seattle, outside at a park. I don't have a gym membership. With my job it doesn't make a whole lot of financial sense. I think that could prove to be a problem, especially as it gets closer to winter. But that is a problem for future Stephanie (shout out there to HIMYM fans!)

Fun news, I've signed up for my 5K run! November 3 I'm going to participate in the Honolulu Color Run! I am super excited, because it looks like a whole lot of fun. So with the C25K program I will be ready at exactly the right time.

I meant to get my measurements on here last weekend, but ended up sitting on the couch with my boyfriend playing Mindcraft for most of it. (I did get my run in however.) And I am going to start logging all of what I eat. I want to read up a little more on proper nutrition for running and advice for beginner runners. I'll post what I find here and all advice is welcome too.

I'm back in Narita again on Friday so I'll have more info then!
